Spirituality at Work

SPIRITUALITY IS AT WORK FOR THE WORLD THROUGH BROOKS in several ways. The practices of meditation, contemplation, and affirmative prayer form the core of our teaching. They help individuals get at the root in themselves of the greed, fear, and aggression that underlie most contemporary social problems, namely, the false belief in a separate and beleaguered self. Meditation, contemplation, and prayer also open the way in individual consciousness to dissolve this belief and to find inspiration for heartfelt action along a particular line of social service.  We pray also for the same awakening in peoples everywhere on the planet.

Brooks also offers an exceptional learning and travel course that has proved powerful in promoting cross-cultural understanding and appreciation among diverse ethnic groups in the Mountain Southwest region of the United States where we are located. And by arrangement with the project High Desert Homesteading, founded and owned by T.J. and Cynthia Walker, both trained and ordained in spiritual leadership through Brooks, Brooks is able to offer practical internship experience in a wide variety of skills for sustainable living on the planet today. (More information on this opportunity can be found on this website:  Desktop, click navigation tab for this page, Spirituality at Work, then--on the dropdown menu--Internship in Sustainable Living.
