SIX-WEEK COURSE IN SENSORY AWARENESS:
A six-week class will be offered Wednesday evenings, 7-9 p.m.,
July 2 through Aug 6, at the Rocky Mountain Miracle Center, 1939 S Monroe, Denver 80210, Marlene Zweig facilitating. Cost $60 for the full course. Sensory Awareness practice heightens attention to often-neglected moment-to-moment subtle experiences of the body, both within itself and in its sensations of the immediate environment. In so doing the practice promotes "mindfulness," or the ability to maintain a quality of presence in the now that is both peaceful and profound. The practice has been influential on figures such as Erich Fromm, Alan Watts, and the pioneer exponent of Zen Buddhism in America, D.T. Suzuki, as well as on many forms of physical therapy and psychotherapy. Marlene Zweig, instructor, gives classes and workshops throughout the United Sates. A student for over twenty years of the founder of Sensory Awareness, Charlotte Selver, Zweig is an accredited member of both the Sensory Awareness Foundation and the Sensory Awareness Leaders Guild.
