Summer/Winter School __________________________________________________________ ED 301 Leadership Training (3) E/SW This
course focuses on Church leadership and the development of churches and study
groups. Includes principles of
creative church administration, goal-setting, planning, recruitment and
development; decision making and time management, board/staff relationships,
public “image,” and building of “group” consciousness
are among the topics covered. COM 301 Communications (3) E/SW General
approaches to productive communication techniques which give valuable
insights towards problem solving and general understandings that lead to
creative relationships. BUS 301 Fund Raising &
Finances (3)
E/SW General
approaches to fund raising that lead to productive results are considered. Includes the motivational
responsibilities of the minister in developing fund raising campaigns and
building programs. Explores the pros
and cons of professional fund raising BUS 401 Management (3) E/SW Management
practices and administrative techniques relating especially to church
finances will be considered. The
proper role of the minister, the financial responsibilities of the church
board, and financial growth and accounting procedures are among the topics
covered. HOM 401 Homiletics (3) E/SW The
art and science of planning, developing and presenting sermons, addresses, lectures
and meditations. Techniques of
delivery and presentation and the ability to integrate Scripture and
spiritual principles into meaningful applications to daily living will be
stressed. HLTH 301 Holistic Health (3) E/SW The
Christian pathway to God is an earthly trek to the SP 301 Speech & Voice (3) E/SW Designed
to develop a more comfortable, better sounding and more attractive self
presentation before large and small groups.
Involves the basics of breath control, resonance and placement of
voice. Local courses approved by the
Director may substitute. |
